The Management Board of Polenergia S.A. (“Issuer”), acting pursuant to Art. 17.1 of Regulation of the European Parliament and Council (EU) No. 596/2014 on market abuse and repealing Directive 2003/6/EC of the European Parliament and Council and Commission Directives 2003/124/EC, 2003/125/EC and 2004/72/EC (Journal of Laws of the European Union L of 2014, No. 173, p. 1 as amended), hereby informs that Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne S.A. (“PSE”) in response to the application of Polenergia Bałtyk I S.A., which develops a project of offshore wind farm Bałtyk Północny, determined terms of connection for the above-mentioned wind farm.
In line with the received terms, the possibility of connecting offshore wind farm with a total capacity of 1,560 MW was scheduled. The terms of connection define the investments on the side of Polenergia Bałtyk I Sp. z o.o. and PSE, the performance of which is necessary to ensure connection and power off-take point from the planned offshore wind farm, along with the necessary scope of arrangements of such investments with the President of the Energy Regulatory Office.
Procurement of the discussed terms of connection for Bałtyk Północny offshore wind farm, in combination with the received terms of connection for the Bałtyk Środkowy II wind farm, about which the Issuer informed in current report No. 7/2019, entails the possibility of increasing the total capacity of offshore wind farms developed by MFW Bałtyk II Sp. z o.o, MFW Bałtyk III Sp. z o.o. and Polenergia Bałtyk I S.A. up to 3,000 MW.
