Polenergia will power two hotels, Warszawianka and Sofitel Grand Sopot, with green energy. Electricity will flow from two farms

Polenergia Group has signed a long-term cPPA with Hotel Warszawianka Centrum Kongresowe and Sinfam Investments, owner of the legendary Sofitel Grand Sopot. Under the contract, the facilities will be fully powered by green energy, coming from the Debsk wind farm and the Strzelino photovoltaic farm. The agreement represents an important step toward sustainable management in the hotel industry.

The cPPA (Corporate Power Purchase Agreement) between Polenergia Sales and the two hotel companies is valid until the end of 2028 and guarantees the supply of 6100 MWh per year, covering 100% of the energy needs of both facilities. This strategic commitment not only fits the growing needs of the hotel sector in the context of decarbonization, but also demonstrates how prestigious properties can combine the highest standard of service with environmental responsibility.

The Warszawianka Hotel, located on the Zegrzynski Lagoon, is one of the most recognizable resorts and conference centers in Poland. It offers a state-of-the-art convention center, a luxurious spa, exclusive restaurants and a wide range of recreational activities. With the new agreement, the property is fully transitioning to green energy, a major step towards green hoteling and minimizing its carbon footprint.

The Sofitel Grand Sopot is a symbol of seaside luxury that has hosted the elite of the business, cultural and artistic worlds for more than 100 years. Following its acquisition by Sinfam Investments, the hotel is betting on an innovative approach to energy management. Through the cPPA, renewable energy produced by Polenergia will cover the hotel’s total demand, underscoring its commitment to its ESG strategy and the green transformation of the hospitality industry.

The concluded agreement is not only a step towards green transformation, but also a hedge against energy price volatility and a guarantee of access to renewable sources. The cPPAs allow companies to plan for the long term and stabilize operating costs, while supporting the development of green energy.

Thanks to this partnership, Hotel Warszawianka and Sofitel Grand Sopot join the ranks of prestigious properties that combine luxury with environmental responsibility, demonstrating that the future of hospitality is not only about comfort and elegance, but also about conscious energy choices.

This is another cPPA contract to provide renewable energy signed by Polenergia in recent weeks. Previously, the group concluded agreements with CD PROJEKT and Syrena Real Estate.
