Polenergia will power iTaxi with clean energy. A new era of green transport

Polenergia Group, the largest Polish private provider of renewable energy, has entered into a partnership with iTaxi, Poland's leading licensed passenger transport company. The agreement aims to create a more integrated and efficient zero-emission passenger transport system by providing iTaxi's electric fleet with access to an extensive infrastructure of ultra-fast charging stations in Warsaw.

The partnership with Polenergia will enable iTaxi to significantly accelerate its operations and increase the level of availability of zero-emission services in the capital. Available at key locations Polenergia’s charging station infrastructure, which enables ultra-fast charging of electric cars, will significantly increase the operational flexibility of iTaxi’s fleet. It will help reduce the time required for vehicle charging and optimise costs, allowing for services to be provided an even higher level. At the same time, increasing the availability of iTaxi’s zero-emission services in the capital will contribute to a reduction in CO2 emissions and an improvement in air quality in the city.

The cooperation with Polenergia is another important step in the implementation of our electrification strategy. The development of a zero-emission fleet is one of our priorities, as we want to offer environmentally friendly rides to our customers. Thanks to our partnership with Polenergia, we can do this even more efficiently, using the widely available ultra-fast charging network.

Renata Bardecka

CEO of iTaxi

The Polenergia Group, one of the key players in the electric vehicle charging infrastructure market, has a network of stations located at strategic points across the country. They are used by both private drivers and commercial fleets. Thanks to the collaboration with iTaxi, Polenergia will expand its services to a new group of users, supporting the development of electric transport in Poland.

The partnership with iTaxi, which involves powering electric vehicles with energy from renewable sources owned by Polenergia and providing access to ultra-fast and fast charging stations, is another important stop on the road to decarbonising transport in the city. Our cooperation promotes the replacement of combustion vehicles with modern, emission-free electric vehicles and, ultimately – the development of electrification in Polish road transport.

Member of the Management Board of Polenergia S.A.

The Polenergia Group, through its subsidiary Polenergia eMobility, is building networks of ultra-fast and fast charging stations across the country. It currently has 116 publicly available charging points that are powered by electricity from renewable sources owned by the group. Among them are first 400 kW stations in Poland, enabling extremely fast energy top-ups for electric cars and electric trucks. By the end of 2024, Polenergia eMobility had an installed capacity of 8.89 MW, which is an increase of 526% year-on-year.

Through the cooperation, Polenergia supports iTaxi’s long-term strategy of gradual electrification of its fleet, thereby reducing its carbon footprint. iTaxi has set an ambitious goal for 80% of its fleet to consist of electric vehicles by 2030, which fits in with the global drive for sustainable urban transport and environmental protection.
