Polenergia has launched the fastest charging stations in Poland. Ultra-fast chargers have been installed by the Wielkopolska Motorway

Polenergia has launched the fastest charging stations for electric cars in Poland. Liquid-cooled ultra-fast chargers with a power of 400 kW have been installed by the Wielkopolska Motorway. The stations are located in the Chociszewo Service Area, halfway between Poznań and Frankfurt (Oder) and near the S3 expressway. These are the only charging stations in Poland with such high power for electric vehicles.

The launched charging stations for passenger cars and electric trucks are the first stage of Polenergia’s investment in the expansion of infrastructure along the concession section of the A2 Motorway. Ultimately, the largest Polish private energy group will place chargers in eight Service Areas available on this route.

Polenergia eMobility is building a dense network of charging stations throughout the country. Today, this network is joined by its flagship product, the fastest chargers in Poland. Devices with a power of 400 kW will offer drivers the possibility of charging the batteries of electric vehicles in a matter of a dozen or so minutes. The dynamic development of charging infrastructure in Western Europe is a fact. Our move is a response to the growing demand of drivers who travel around Poland. We believe that the technological leap that we offer to our customers will become an impulse for further, rapid growth of the Polish electromobility sector.

Cooperation with Autostrada Wielkopolska

The Wielkopolska Motorway is one of the most popular expressways in Poland. The launched Polenergia charging stations are located in the Chociszewo Service Area, halfway between Poznań and Frankfurt (Oder). It is about 10 minutes from the S3 expressway, which is a part of the international E65 route and lies in the trans-European transport corridor TEN-T.

Ultimately, Polenergia’s chargers will be available in eight service areas: Chociszewo, Rogoziniec, Dopiewiec, Konarzewo, Targowa Górka, Chwałszyce, Skarboszewo and Lądek. Sebastian Joachimiak, Member of the Management Board of Autostrada Wielkopolska, emphasizes the importance of this step for drivers who use the concession section of the A2 Motorway Świecko – Konin

We are constantly improving the scope and quality of services provided, ensuring drivers driving comfort and safety. The development of the EV charger network is an expression of our care for both the needs of drivers who increasingly choose to travel by electric car, and the environment. When selecting charging station suppliers, we were guided by the guarantee of high quality services to provide users of the Wielkopolska Motorway with the best possible options. We strive to develop the network of charging stations on the concession section of the A2 motorway, so that they are available in each of the 22 Service Area between Świecko and Konin.

On board Polish manufacturer – Ekoenergetyka

To install the fastest chargers in the country, Polenergia has chosen the Polish manufacturer of charging stations, Ekoenergetyka. This is a supplier of modern charging solutions, known to customers of electric cars throughout Europe. Ekoenergetyka charging stations drive zero-emission transport in Paris, Madrid, Stockholm, Berlin and Munich, and in Poland – among others in Warsaw and Krakow.

Cooperation with Polenergia is of central importance to us. The implementation of the first publicly available station in Poland with such high power on an expressway is important for the development of the European charging infrastructure. It is symbolic that we are implementing this project on the Freedom Highway, which connects Western and Central Europe. We were chosen because of our reliable technology.

Co-founder and President of Ekoenergetyka-Polska S.A.

From announcements to actions

Polenergia eMobility is responsible for expanding Polenergia’s electric vehicle charging network. The stations are powered by electricity in the Energia 2051 standard, which comes from renewable sources belonging to the Group. During hours when overproduction of electricity from renewable energy sources reaches its peak, Polenergia eMobility offers significant price reductions for users of charging stations.

Until the end of August 2024, the “Hours and weekends with RES” promotion is valid at all Polenergia stations. Charging a car from Monday to Friday, between 11:00 and 15:00 is PLN 1.39/kWh for DC stations and PLN 1.60/kWh for AC stations. Outside these hours, the standard price list applies. On weekends, both offers are identical and amount to PLN 1.39/kWh at DC and AC stations.

Information about current promotions and new charging station locations is available in the Polenergia eMobility mobile application and on the website www.polenergia-emobility.pl/en/
