Polenergia moves up to the mWIG40 Index of the Warsaw Stock Exchange

Polenergia SA, the largest Polish private energy group, will join the mWIG40 index. The group is moving up from the sWIG80, an index for smaller companies, to the ranks of the 60 most significant firms on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE). The changes will take effect after the trading session on March 21, 2025.

Polenergia has been steadily growing, achieving excellent results. At the same time, it is pursuing ambitious projects—together with the Norwegian company Equinor, it is building the Bałtyk offshore wind farms. Due to their scale and importance, these projects will elevate the company to an entirely new level of development. This enhances Polenergia’s attractiveness on the capital market and sparks growing interest from investors. The company’s transition to the mWIG40 index on the WSE further confirms this.

The mWIG40 is one of the most popular indices of companies listed on the WSE main market. It comprises the 40 next-largest companies after the WIG20, ranked based on data from trading sessions. The ranking was compiled following the session on February 21, 2025. It took into account share turnover and the monthly turnover ratio over the past 12 months, calculated backward from the ranking date. The vaule of shares in free float was determined based on the closing price of the stock on February 20, 2025.
