Polenergia partner of the United Nations Program “Together for the Environment”

Polenergia S.A. ("Polenergia"), the largest Polish private vertically integrated energy group, joined the Partnership for Environmental Sustainability "Together for the Environment". This is the initiative undertaken by the UNEP / GRID-Warsaw Center in cooperation with the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP).

Polenergia joined the “Together for the Environment” Program;
Co-operation involves the implementation and popularization of the principles contained in the UN’s “Sustainable Development Agenda 2030” adopted by UNO in 2015;

Polenergia, aware of the universal importance of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda adopted on September,25 2015 at the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit in New York, joined the “Together for the Environment” initiative. This is the answer to the need to build a congenial atmosphere in Poland and the best possible conditions for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The Agenda 2030 sets out 17 objectives, the aim of which is to contribute to the elimination of all socio-economic inequalities, while at the same time contributing to the preservation of the natural environment in the best possible condition and reducing the negative effects of climate change. Polenergia S.A, becoming a Partner of the abovementioned initiative, takes responsibility for the implementation and popularization of the principles of sustainable development

We are convinced of the need to meet all of the seventeen objectives adopted by UNEP. Particularly close are our goals for improving the quality of life in cities, actions for climate protection and clean energy. We believe that the successful implementation of the principles of sustainable development is dependent on the cooperation of administration, business and the involvement of people, creating a conscious and responsible civil society. We are ready to share our knowledge, support and participate in projects that deliver goals and promote sustainable development.

One of the goals of the 2030 Agenda is clean and available energy, since meeting the challenges and taking advantage of many opportunities in today’s world links with access to energy.
