Polenergia to supply renewable energy to CD PROJEKT. The companies sign a six-year contract

Polenergia - Poland's largest private energy group - and CD PROJEKT - one of the world's most recognizable video game developers and publishers - have signed an agreement for the supply of energy from renewable sources. The six-year SMART cPPA contract covers nearly 22 GWh of zero-emissions electrical power.

The energy contracted for CD PROJEKT’s Warsaw campus carries guarantees of origin, confirming that it is fully generated from renewable sources. For the purposes of the contract with CD PROJEKT, it will be produced at the Skurpie and Rajgród wind farms and the Szprotawa photovoltaic farm.

We are pleased to be able to deliver renewable energy to one of the most recognizable Polish companies in the world. Polenergia's partnership with CD PROJEKT proves that even the most technologically advanced companies, operating on a global scale, can actively support the energy transformation process and implement green solutions. This is a step towards a more sustainable future for the creative sector.

Robert Rutowicz

Vice President of the Management Board of Polenergia Sprzedaż Sp. z o.o.

The newly established cooperation supports the CD PROJEKT Group’s target for 2030, which, regardless of the planned growth in the scale of CD PROJEKT’s operations, calls for a 42% reduction in emissions related to the Group’s operational activities by 2030.

Due to its long-term nature and competitive terms, the contract also secures stable pricing and predictability of supplies in a changing market environment. The estimated value of the contract amounts to approximately PLN 12 million.

I am proud that, starting in 2025, the energy contracted for the Warsaw offices and server rooms of CD PROJEKT RED and GOG.com will come from wind and solar. This is another step towards building a modern and environmentally friendly campus, where the creative energy of our teams is unlocked.

Piotr Nielubowicz

CFO, Board Member of CD PROJEKT S.A.

The concluded agreement is in line with the Energy Standard 2051, which guarantees that 100% of energy comes from renewable sources. Polenergia’s compliance with its obligations under the Energy 2051 Standard is confirmed annually by an external certification body.
