Polenergia launched the largest photovoltaic farm in the history of the Group. The Strzelino photovoltaic farm has a capacity of 45 MWp, which allows 24,000 households to be powered with green energy. The investment located in Pomerania is the fifth solar power plant in the Group's portfolio. Thanks to the launch of the Strzelino photovoltaic farm, Polenergia's generation capacity from renewable sources reached 574 MW. Over the last 12 months they have increased by 22%.

Polenergia’s largest photovoltaic farm is located in the city of Słupsk in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. The estimated annual production of the Strzelino photovoltaic farm is approximately 48 GWh, which corresponds to the annual electricity demand of 24,000 households.

Over 73,000 modern photovoltaic modules, seven medium voltage transformer stations and one high voltage transformer station were installed in the investment area. Individual stations were connected to the local distribution network operator with medium and high voltage cables with a length of almost 10 kilometers. The launch of the Strzelino photovoltaic farm means that Polenergia’s green generation capacity from renewable sources has reached 574 MW.

Strzelino is the largest photovoltaic project in Polenergia's portfolio. The location of our investments means that the wind and solar farms we have complement each other perfectly. The power plant in Strzelin is another element of our Group's expansion on land. Our onshore development portfolio includes projects with a total capacity of nearly 2,100 MW. Poland faces huge challenges related to decarbonization. Polenergia is playing an increasingly significant role in achieving this goal.

President of the Management Board of Polenergia S.A.

Over the last twelve months, Polenergia’s production capacity increased by 22%. In the second half of 2023, the Group launched the Piekło Wind Farm, located in Greater Poland, with a capacity of 13.2 MW, and the Grabowo Wind Farm, located in Podlasie, with a capacity of 44 MW.

Recently, Polenergia also signed contracts for the construction of further photovoltaic farms: Szprotawa I and Szprotawa II. Solar power plants with a total capacity of 67 MWp will be located in the Lubusz Voivodeship.

The total capacity of Polenergia’s onshore projects under development is approximately 1,350 MW in wind projects and almost 700 MW in photovoltaic projects. The group is also developing three wind farms in the Baltic Sea with a capacity of up to 3,000 MW in cooperation with the Norwegian Equinor.
